With the “Royal Selection” you get Bordeaux wines from the 2021 and 2013 vintages. With the 2013 vintage you get perfectly matured Bordeaux wines for immediate enjoyment. The 2021 vintage is still outside the drinking window and should therefore be stored. This allows you to explore the maturation process of Bordeaux wines and follow their development over time.

For lovers of Burgundy wines, we also offer a unique vertical tasting opportunity of a Grand Cru site, covering the vintages from 2017 to 2020. This vertical can either be enjoyed straight away or left to mature for a few more years, giving you the opportunity to experience the evolution and complexity of these outstanding wines. In addition, the “Royal Selection” allows you to discover the gradations of the Burgundy classification system. You can taste representatives from Grand Cru, Premier Cru (1er Cru) and Village wines (Santenay) and thus get to know the different quality levels. In addition, we offer the opportunity to compare two 1er Crus of the same vintage directly with each other to learn how the terroir makes a unique difference in the taste and character of the wines.

Immerse yourself in the world of Bordeaux and Burgundy with our exclusive wine package “Royal Selection” and experience the fascination and sophistication of these unique wine regions.

About the wineries and their wines

Domaine Jean Chartron (Burgundy)

In 1859, Jean-Edouard Dupard founded the Domaine Jean Chartron in Puligny-Montrachet on the Côte de Beaune. Since then, five generations have worked in succession and committed themselves to the goal of expressing the outstanding terroirs of Burgundy. The Domaine Jean Chartron now extends over almost 14 hectares of vineyards on exceptional plots such as the monopoles Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru "Clos des Chevaliers" or Puligny-Montrachet 1er Crus "Clos de la Pucelle". Since 2014, the Domaine Jean Chartron has been cultivated according to the principles of organic viticulture.

Always in line with the philosophy of environmental protection and tradition, the Domaine Jean Chartron produces outstanding Burgundy wines that reflect the full authenticity of their terroir. A natural development, meticulous vineyard care and slow and gentle development without major intervention in the wine cellar result in a wine style characterized by pure minerality that tastes racy, fresh and fine at the same time. The winery serves as a reference for lovers and connoisseurs of great white wines from Burgundy.

Tertre Roteboeuf (Bordeaux)

Chateau Tertre Roteboeuf has been owned by Francois Mitjavile since 1978 and is located in the municipality of Saint-Laurent-des-Combes near Saint-Émilion. The 5.6 hectares of vineyards are arranged like an amphitheatre on a steep slope facing south. Mitjavile had his breakthrough with the 1985 vintage and since then Tertre-Roteboeuf has been one of the most sought-after wines in St-Emilion: hardly anyone knows more about nature and Merlot than Francois Mitjavile and so Tertre Roteboeuf is rightly considered one of the most respected and truly iconic châteaus in Saint-Émilion.

Valandraud (Bordeaux)

From a “garage winery” to a Premier Cru Classé – the history of Château Valandraud is relatively young and yet one of the most exciting of all the châteaus in Saint-Émilion. The co-owner Jean-Luc Thunevin was once described by Robert Parker as a “bad boy” and “black sheep”, but today Thunevin’s wines are among the flagships of France. The winery cultivates almost nine hectares on the clayey limestone soils of Saint Etienne de Lisse, planted with around two thirds Merlot, around a quarter Cabernet Franc and a portion of Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec.

Old Chateau Certan (Bordeaux)

Vieux Chateau Certan is owned by the Thienpont family (the family's relatives are responsible for Le Pin and Pavie Macquin, among others) and is located on what is probably the best terroir in all of Pomerol. Located on the plateau in the heart of the region, the castle is completely surrounded by its own 14 hectares of vines and is in the immediate vicinity of Petrus, Le Pin and Certan de May. The chateau is one of the oldest wineries in Pomerol. It was founded in the 16th century and there is evidence that wine has been grown here since 1745. One of the highlights of this package.

Troplong Mondot

Château Troplong Mondot is located near the center of Saint-Émilion, facing southeast on a hill overlooking Saint-Émilion. The vineyards are planted with over 80% Merlot, around 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and less than 5% Cabernet Franc. The average age of the vines is 30 years. In the mid-1980s, Michel Rolland joined the winery as the responsible oenologist and so it is no wonder that the wines from this first-class terroir have been among the best in Saint-Emilion since the late 1980s. The hard work has been rewarded: since 2006, this chateau has risen to the Olympus of the highest Saint-Emilion classification.

Leoville Poyferre

The Léoville-Poyferré winery, classified as a Deuxièmes Grand Crus Classées since 1855, is located in the excellent Saint-Julien appellation, where it has been managed by the Cuvelier family since 1920. Today, Château Léoville-Poyferré covers a total of 80 hectares in prime locations with mineral-rich soils and a favorable microclimate. The vineyards are planted with Bordeaux classics (around two thirds of the vineyard area is Cabernet Sauvignon, around 25 percent Merlot and a small proportion Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc). The winery's constant innovative efforts enable the production of great wines that are exported all over the world.
